It was originally a glossy, deep brown, but the peeling techniques used by our craftsmen have allowed us to more strongly express the softness and warmth inherent in wood.

It takes a great deal of courage for us to alter something that is already beautiful, but I will never forget the excitement I felt as I gradually began to see the potential of the material and saw it come to fruition.

This item has an excellent balance of gorgeous carving and the warm texture of wood.
